#WHATSINMYTRASH is an installative short video opera by Sara Stevanović, set to premiere in 2026 in Berlin. This ongoing project focuses on personalizing trash and the unexpected connections between basophobia, soluble materials, and cuteness. At the open studio event in March 2025, Sara shared glimpses of her research and preparation process, presenting video, sound, and text materials alongside the opera’s characters in a physical space.

 

#WHATSINMYTRASH is built almost entirely from soluble materials and trashcollected by the three fellows during their three-month residency at the ADK in Berlin.
